چکیده

Objective: The primary objective of this study was to investigate the correlation between Total Leukocyte Count (TLC) and C-Reactive Protein (CRP) levels in paediatric bronchiolitis patients assess prognostic significance these markers disease severity patient outcomes. Study Design: A retrospective correlational conducted using records from a six-month period analyze relationship TLC CRP patients. Setting: at different centres including Department Paediatrics, Social Security MNCH Hospital, Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab Sahara Medical College Narowal, August, 2022 January, 2023. Methods: Data aged 1 month 2 years diagnosed with extracted electronic medical records. included complete data on levels. Pearson's coefficient used determine association levels, while logistic regression analysis performed identify potential predictors severity. Results: found significant positive (p<0.05). Higher were associated increased longer hospital stay.

The correlation between blood leukocyte count and the level of consciousness in head injured patients

This study was performed to define the correlation between the level of consciousness based on Glasgow coma scale ( GCS), Glasgow outcome scale( GOS) and leukocyte count. Two hundred and thirty three patients ( female: 48, male: 185) ranged between 1-75 years old were studied. The results showed that there was a negative correlation between increasing leukocyte count and  GCS ( n=233.r= .0.3, p...

OBJECTIVES to evaluate whether total and differential WBC counts are altered in young obese patients (aged 6-12 years) and if a relationship exists between WBC counts and the severity of obesity as well as with CRP level. MATERIALS AND METHODS a group of 77 obese patients [32 males and 45 females] and 19 controls [7 males and 12 females] were studied. Total WBC count was performed by using an...

Investigating relationship between C- reactive protein and obesity in adults

Introduction: Association between plasma high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (CRP) concentrations and cardiovascular disease has been Investigated. C-reactive protein (CRP) is an acute phase reactant which is a marker of inflammation in the body. CRP is made by the liver in response to inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNFα). Adipose ti...

BACKGROUND The complete blood count (CBC) and C-reactive protein (CRP) are useful inflammatory parameters for ruling out acute postoperative inflammatory complications. AIM To determine their changes in gastric cancer patients submitted to total gastrectomy. METHODS This is a prospective study, with 36 patients with gastric cancer who were submitted to elective total gastrectomy. On the fir...

Relationship between High-Density Lipoprotein and C-reactive Protein in Patients with Atherosclerosis

Abstract Background and Objective: Atherosclerosis is an inflammatory disease mostly caused by oxidation of low density lipoproteins (LDLs) while High-density lipoproteins (HDLs) oppose atherosclerosis by inhibiting the oxidation of LDLs. Serum concentration of C- reactive protein (CRP) also increases as an acute phase protein in inflammatory conditions like atherosclerosis. We aimed to evalu...
